The proposed idea “Bank” (liet. Pylimas) is based on the historical data layer and analyzing the urban identity and structure of the site. The proposed embankment/pavilion/ amphitheater’s roof is used as an extension of the square (where independent local events can take place). The inside is proposed to host commercial functions with an exposition of archaeological findings. Solution would reveal the complex history of the site in attractive forms and would mark the character of the historical development of the former quarters and would serve as an educational social space. Three main zones – Active, Passive, Representative- can be used universally due to the architecture and design solutions.
