Kindergarten competition, 3nd place – NYKSTUKYNE, Vilnius

Design entry for the new kindergarten open architectural competition  for the future site at Braškių Street 54. Twelve teams of architects presented their visions for a modern and functional kindergarten that meets the needs of children, the institution itself, and the Jeruzalė district community. Our project received 3rd place in the competition organized by Vilniaus vystymo kompanija.

NYKSTUKYNE is centered on seamlessly integrating natural and urban elements with modern educational principles to create an engaging and positive learning environment for children. The proposal is thoughtfully designed preserving all mature trees on-site — a focal point in shaping our approach —  fostering an early appreciation for nature and sustainability. The distinctive sloped roofs, reminiscent of fairytale gnome hats, will minimally alter the overall landscape, fitting harmoniously into the layout of Maumedžių Street.
