Klaipėda pro-gymnasium “Gedminai” modernization

Klaipėda’s  Progymnasium (former Klaipeda 21st Secondary School) was built by the typical design  no. 222-1-94/70. At that time, the school was calculated to hold 1284 students.

The school’s modernization process starts with the vision, missions and identity for the school. Later the development could be programmed as long -term
vibrant process.

Proposed direction –  technological and experimental education environment. Providing resources, installations and experiences  the pro-gymnasium could become a self -creating object – a workshop that with the right production base and minimal experimental equipment could gradually realize the stages of modernization. Using this principle, the students could actually create school environment.

The project is being implemented by Ministry of Education, Science and Sport in cooperation with the Vilnius Academy of Arts. The project partner is selected by Šiauliai City Municipality, by whose suggestion for  pro-gymnasium will update engineering infrastructure. More information  here.
