Melno recreational trail – Palanga, 2024

In order to give meaning to the event of the Treaty of Melno, and to socially activate the southern part of the city of Palanga with a cultural landmark, the concept of the Melno educational and recreational trail is proposed. The formation of the trail with its cultural infrastructure together with the development of Vytautas 4 territory (block) would potentially create a mutual attraction effect. When the spa complex could be in demand not only by the residents, but also by those visiting the trail, and the hotel residents would have an additional cultural attractor in the vicinity, which could also be used as a functional connection with the seaside recreational area.

The concept of the educational-recreational trail is based on the goal of preserving and updating the section of the Treaty of Melno border, sustainably using the elements of the existing infrastructure, reconstructing and supplementing them on two levels: educational and recreational.
