Built in 1862, the former courthouse and prison complex is a significant historical landmark in Klaipėda. The Neo-Gothic buildings, distinguished by red brick facades, stepped gables, and decorative cornices, have undergone several phases of expansion and reconstruction over the past century. Today, the revitalization project focuses on preserving authentic architectural elements, restoring the roof and facades, and adapting the buildings for a new function as a hotel while maintaining their historical and architectural integrity.
