Sports Center – THE FLOW, Gargzdai

Gargždai sports center proposal is a 1st place competition winner in 2017.  Original complex design is divided into 3 sport halls – pool, gym and ice arena. However only two will be implemented. The pool is planned to be built during the 1st phase of construction and the next phase is a construction of universal gym.

Architectural idea is to join separate volumes into one. Using solid timber surface to turn exterior contour into unifying shield, whereas the partitions of the main interior spaces are transparent, made of glass.
