AEXN architects

Building on the award-winning 2009 concept, the Memelio City project refines and details its architectural vision and functions while preserving its original values. Located at the confluence of the Danė River and the Curonian Lagoon, this 5-hectare site is transformed from a former industrial port area into a vibrant, mixed-use waterfront district. The updated proposal emphasizes the unique qualities of Klaipėda’s central area, creating strong neighborhood connections, integrating public spaces into the city fabric, and establishing a distinctive local identity. The plan strengthens Memelio City’s role as a lively recreational, residential, and business hub on Klaipėda’s waterfront.
