The “Mound” (Pylimas) proposal reimagines Atgimimo Square as a multifunctional public space celebrating Klaipėda’s layered history. Inspired by the city’s former port fortifications, the design integrates historical references through modern architectural and spatial interventions. A pavilion–amphitheatre serves as both a roofed event space and an observation platform, housing commercial and archaeological exhibits. The square is organized into three interconnected zones—active, passive, and representative—offering flexibility for everyday use and special events. Innovative features, including a multifunctional water basin, adaptable exhibition structures, integrated greenery, and sustainable lighting, ensure a dynamic, educational, and socially engaging urban environment.
